What happens after I express interest in a Multiverse programme?

Overview

Completing the Skill Scan is the first step in joining a Multiverse Applied Learning programme. After the Apprentice submits responses, several stages follow before the programme officially starts. This article walks through each stage of the journey, what the Apprentice can expect, and what to do if anything stalls.

This guidance applies to the Apprentice on the Diagnose and Prescribe (DP) journey, which is the standard route for most new starters. The Apprentice on a non-DP journey should follow the instructions provided by the Client Value Partner (CVP).

The Journey: Five Stages

Stage 1: The Apprentice completes the Skill Scan

The Apprentice clicks the unique Skill Scan link sent by email and answers a short series of questions about current skills, role context, and career goals. The Skill Scan typically takes 20 to 23 minutes to complete.

The Skill Scan link is unique to the Apprentice and to a specific programme goal. The Apprentice must use the link sent directly to their email.

Stage 2: The Apprentice receives Programme Recommendations

The Platform analyses responses and presents a Programme Recommendations page. Each recommended programme shows a Role Fit Score: Strong, Good, Partial, or Limited. The score reflects how well the current role of the Apprentice supports the practical Applied Learning required for that programme.

The Apprentice can review the Compatibility Rationale and Actionable Insights for each programme before making a choice. For a full explanation of fit scores, see Understanding Your Skill Scan and Program Recommendations.

Stage 3: The Apprentice applies, or pauses for later

There are two possible paths at this stage.

Path A: The Apprentice proceeds to apply

The Apprentice selects a programme and is directed to the Commitment Page. On this page, the Apprentice confirms readiness and, where required, commits to addressing any Actionable Insights before the programme starts. Submitting on the Commitment Page completes the application.

Path B: The Apprentice pauses before applying

If the Apprentice is not ready to commit, the original Skill Scan link can be used to return to the Programme Recommendations page at any time before submitting an application. Progress is saved automatically.

Stage 4: Multiverse reviews the application

Once the Apprentice submits an application, the status shows as Pending on the homepage of The Platform. The Multiverse Admissions team reviews the submission and confirms the outcome.

Most applications are confirmed in the weeks leading up to the programme start date. The application may remain Pending for any of the following reasons:

  • The Admissions team requires further information from the Apprentice, the Apprentice Manager, or the Employer.

  • The Employer prefers to confirm all applicants together after the internal deadline.

  • The application is for a degree apprenticeship, which requires manual review by a Subject Matter Expert.

Stage 5: The Apprentice receives the join code and joins the programme

Once the application is approved, the Apprentice receives a welcome email containing a unique sign-up link and a 6-digit company code. This code is sometimes referred to as a join code or a company join code.

The Apprentice uses this code to:

  1. Click the sign-up link in the welcome email.

  2. Enter the work email address.

  3. If the work email is not automatically matched to the employer, enter the 6-digit company code from the welcome email.

  4. Set a password and verify the account.

  5. Access The Platform and begin onboarding ahead of Flying Start.

The Flying Start session is the formal enrolment event where the Apprentice meets the Coach and begins the Applied Learning programme.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Questions

Answers

Question: The Apprentice completed the Skill Scan but did not apply at the time. How does the Apprentice restart?

Answer: The Apprentice can return to the original Skill Scan link sent by email. The link returns the Apprentice to the Programme Recommendations page, where an application can be submitted. If the link no longer works, the Apprentice must contact the Multiverse Support Team to request a replacement link.

Question: The Apprentice wants to apply for a different programme than the one originally chosen. What should the Apprentice do?

Answer: If the Apprentice has already submitted a preference but wants to switch, the Apprentice should contact the Multiverse Account Team. The Account Team will review the request and, if approved, will update the Company Goal Page. If the Apprentice has not yet submitted, a different recommended programme can be selected directly from the Programme Recommendations page.

Question: Where does the Apprentice find the join code?

Answer: The join code is the 6-digit company code included in the welcome email sent by Multiverse once an application is approved. The Apprentice should check the email inbox and the spam or junk folders. If the welcome email cannot be found, contact the Multiverse Support Team.

Question: What is the difference between a join code, a company join code, and a 6-digit company code?

Answer: They are the same thing. The 6-digit company code is the official term used during sign-up. Some communications refer to it informally as a join code or a company join code.

Question: The application has been Pending for several weeks. Who should the Apprentice contact?

Answer: First, check the homepage of The Platform for the current application status. If the status is still Pending and the expected programme start date is approaching, contact the Multiverse Support Team with the email address used during application and the name of the employer.

Question: The Apprentice no longer wishes to proceed. What should the Apprentice do?

Answer: The Apprentice should contact the Multiverse Support Team to submit a formal withdrawal request. Deleting the account is not the correct route for withdrawal.
