Understanding Your Programme Recommendations

How the programme matcher recommends Applied Learning programmes, how to read your results, and how to choose and apply for a programme.

Summary

The programme matcher helps you find the right Applied Learning programme. After you answer questions about your skills, role and career goals, the programme matcher recommends the programmes that fit you best. This guide explains how to read your recommendations and how to choose a programme.

The Purpose of the Programme Matcher

The programme matcher turns your answers about your skills, role and goals into tailored programme recommendations. It gives you transparency and choice over your learning path. Your answers determine your role fit. Role fit measures how easily you can apply new programme skills in your current role each day. Role fit is a key factor in programme success. Once you receive your tailored programme recommendations, you can submit your application.

Understanding Your Recommendations

How The Platform Calculates Your Fit

Once you have answered the questions about your skills and role, the programme matcher presents your recommendations page. The Platform shows a Role Fit Score for each programme you are eligible for, based on your current role and its requirements.

  • Strong Fit: Your current role gives you frequent opportunities to apply the programme skills straight away. This is your closest match.

  • Good Fit: Your current role supports this programme well, with a high probability of success.

  • Partial Fit: The programme matcher has found some gaps between your current role and the programme requirements. Actionable Insights show you how to close them.

  • Limited Fit: There are notable gaps between your current role and the programme requirements. You can still apply after committing to actions that close the gaps. A Limited Fit is not a rejection.

The Compatibility Rationale

Alongside each Role Fit Score, The Platform shows you a Compatibility Rationale. The rationale explains why you match a specific programme, or why a different programme might suit you better.

Taking Action on Your Recommendations

Closing Gaps with Actionable Insights

A Partial or Limited fit does not stop you from applying. The Platform provides Actionable Insights. These are specific steps that close the gaps the programme matcher has found. Examples include securing different projects at work or gaining access to specific tools. If you are confident you can complete the actions, you can proceed to apply on the commitment page.

Choosing Your Programme

You can choose any eligible programme on your recommendations page, whatever the fit score. Your recommendations are tailored to your role, skills and potential. Choosing a programme moves you from exploring options to actively shaping your career path.

The Commitment Page

When you choose a programme, The Platform opens the commitment page. The commitment page is your final confirmation step before your application is submitted.

On the commitment page, you complete three steps:

  1. Review the timeline. Confirm the programme starts within the next 60 days.

  2. Confirm readiness. Acknowledge that you are ready to enrol.

  3. Commit to actions. If your fit score included Actionable Insights, formally commit to completing them before the programme starts.
