Overview
Asynchronous learning modules provide flexible, Applied Learning opportunities within The Platform. This guide provides the technical steps for The Apprentice to locate content, resolve visibility issues, and troubleshoot platform errors.
Accessing Asynchronous Learning Content
Log In to The Platform
The Apprentice must access The Platform using valid credentials at
home.multiverse.io or navigate to the learning section. The Apprentice should locate the Learning tab in the left-hand navigation menu.
Note: This section was previously labeled Modules.
Select the Correct Programme
At the top of the Learning page, The Apprentice must select the specific programme name to open the relevant dashboard.
Complete Onboarding Prerequisites
The Apprentice must complete all Onboarding Modules before Module 1 content becomes visible:
Onboarding Module 1: "Welcome to Multiverse"
(Note: This may not appear for returning apprentices).Onboarding Module 2: "Welcome to [Programme Name]."
Locate Module 1 Content
Module 1 is a collection of multiple learning modules rather than a single file. These modules appear beneath the Onboarding Modules once prerequisites are met.
Use the Cohort Selector
If Module 1 is not visible, The Apprentice should use the Cohort Drop-down Menu at the top of the learning area to select the specific cohort. This action refreshes the content library for that group.
Troubleshooting Module Visibility
Reveal Completed Modules
Completed modules are hidden by default to prioritise new tasks. The Apprentice can click the Show Completed Modules button at the top of the page to view previously finished content.
Identify Modules by Title
Modules are not always labeled numerically (e.g., "Module 1"). The Apprentice should look for thematic titles, such as "Starting out with a BI tool," and scroll through the full list to find the required content.
Check Module Availability
Certain content, such as Module 3, may display a "Coming Soon" status. This indicates the content has not yet been released to the cohort; no troubleshooting is required.
Manage Functional Skills Tabs
If The Apprentice only sees Functional Skills content, The Apprentice should use the navigation tabs at the top of the page to switch to apprenticeship modules. If Functional Skills modules are missing entirely, The Apprentice must contact Support, as a manual enrolment step may be required.
Locate Surveys and Non-Portfolio Projects
Surveys: Located in the Learning tab under the Modules page. The Apprentice can use Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac) to search for "Surveys."
Non-Portfolio Projects: Some modules (e.g., Module 3) do not include standalone projects. These will not appear in the Project List.
Technical Troubleshooting and Error Handling
Address Progress Status Lag
Module Progress may not update immediately upon completion. If a module remains "In Progress" after all tasks are finished:
Perform a Hard Refresh of the browser.
Wait 24 hours for the system to sync.
If the status does not update, contact Support for a manual progress recalculation.
Resolve "Oops" and Error ID Screens
If The Apprentice encounters an "Oops," "Activity Not Found," or "Unauthorised" popup with a specific Error ID (e.g., Error ID: ypij1e3zkl):
The Apprentice must take a screenshot or note the Error ID.
Contact Support immediately. These errors indicate backend issues that cannot be resolved via browser refreshes.
Recover Disappearing Modules (BIL or Programme Change)
If previously accessible modules disappear after a Break in Learning (BIL) or a programme transfer, this indicates an account permissions conflict. The Apprentice must contact Support to restore access.
Handle Progress Resets
If a completed module reverts to "Not Started" or "In Progress," this is typically due to a Content Update. The Apprentice should report this to Support to ensure completion records are maintained.
Report Broken Links
If a link within a module page fails to load, The Apprentice should report the specific module name and the broken URL to Support for correction by the Learning Team.
