Data Fellowship Tech Requirements

To ensure a successful and smooth learning experience on the Data Fellowship programme, learners need access to specific software.

Important note: Please ensure learners can also access the core requirements listed in this article in addition to the programme-specific requirements outlined below. It is the employer's responsibility to ensure this access is in place by the relevant deadline.

Business Intelligence Tool

Learners need access to the most up to date in-browser and desktop version of PowerBI or Tableau Desktop & Tableau Prep. Software required will be subject to prior agreement between Multiverse and your employer. They will also need access to update their software as new updates are released throughout the programme.

Installation required

Power BI users can make use of the free license version of Power BI if your organisation does not already provide Power BI.

Flying Start (first session)

Platform used to teach SQL as part of the programme.

No data will be uploaded to Sphere as we use dummy data in the lesson. Apprentices who wish to use SQL for their portfolio work will also need to be able to apply teachings from here to their own internal SQL environment with full adherence to internal company data policies.

Allowlisting required

Month 3

Lucidchart is a diagramming software used for business diagrams, flowcharts, database design, system design, software design and cloud architecture and infrastructure design. It is used throughout the programme.

Other diagramming software like Miro or MS Visio can be used as alternatives if needed.
