My Maths and English evidence was rejected. What does this mean for my application?
Updated over 3 weeks ago

This article is for those applying for an apprenticeship via their current employer. If you are a career starter applying for apprenticeship roles at a future employer, explore articles relevant to you here.

As part of the application, you'll be asked to upload evidence of a maths and English level 2 qualification to meet government apprenticeship guidelines.

We understand that having your initial submission rejected may feel disappointing, but don't worry, this isn't the end of the road!

How to proceed with your application

Support is available to proceed with your application if your evidence has been rejected.

1. Check if you have a different form of evidence that would meet the requirements that you could re-upload. Check out what evidence is acceptable here.

2. If you don't immediately have a different form of evidence to upload, you can still be accepted onto one of our apprenticeship programmes by passing the initial assessments in maths and English. Then, once you have started your programme, you'll have 21 days (+ reasonable extension if required) to upload evidence. If you don't have an acceptable existing qualification, we can support you to achieve these qualifications alongside your core apprenticeship studies with support from Functional Skills tutors. You can read more about the process for achieving the qualification on-programme in our exam process and learning support articles.
