What is the Deadline for Submitting my Work-Based Project?
Knowing the deadline for your Work-Based Project (WBP) is key to planning your time effectively and ensuring you submit your work on schedule. The exact deadline depends on your specific apprenticeship programme and when your End Point Assessment (EPA) period officially begins. You will receive an email from your exam board after Gateway confirming your EPA start date. This email will contain clear instructions on how and when to submit your project.
Here’s a general guide to submission timelines, calculated from your EPA start date:
Data Fellowship: Your electronic WBP report and presentation (in .docx and .ppt format) are due 8 weeks (40 working days) from your EPA start date.
Advanced Data Fellowship: Your electronic WBP report and presentation (in .docx and .ppt format) are due 4 weeks (20 working days) from your EPA start date.
Software Engineering: Your electronic WBP report (in .docx and .ppt format) is due 9 weeks (45 working days) from your EPA start date.
Business Transformation Fellowship: Your electronic WBP report and presentation (in .docx and .ppt format) are due 6 weeks (30 working days) from your EPA start date.
Important Notes on Submission Timing:
The absolute latest you can submit your project is 23:59 on the deadline officially communicated by your End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO).
While the final cutoff is late in the evening, we strongly advise submitting your WBP during standard working hours (before 17:30). This allows our support team to help you if you encounter any technical problems.
How Do I Submit My Work-Based Project?
Ready to submit your Work-Based Project (WBP)? The process varies slightly depending on who your End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) is. Please find the instructions relevant to your EPAO below.
If you are not sure whether your EPAO is Accelerate People or 1st for EPA, this will be indicated on your Gateway forms and other EPA communications.
WBP Submission Instructions by EPAO:
The method for submitting your work-based project differs depending on whether your EPAO is Accelerate People or 1st for EPA.
Accelerate People: Email your WBP report and presentation to [email protected].
1st for EPA: Upload your files via the EPA Pro portal. To submit via the EPA Pro portal:
Log in to your EPA Pro account: https://1stforepa.epapro.co.uk/login. You will have received login details from your exam board. If you can’t find this email, use the ‘Forgotten your password’ button on the EPA Pro platform. Your username will be your email address. If you are still having trouble logging in, please contact our Support Team.
Navigate to your profile by selecting ‘View your progress’ under your name (usually top right).
Go to the ‘Files’ tab.
Select ‘New File,’ then upload your WBP report and presentation.
Click ‘Save File.’
Double-check that both files have been successfully uploaded.
