Progress Reviews: Completing Your Review Form

This guide is for Apprentices who complete their Progress Review using an online form. If you have not been told your reviews are changing, this is the process for you.

If Multiverse has told you that your Progress Reviews are moving to a live meeting with no form, see 'Progress Reviews: The New Live Meeting Process'.

Which Process Applies to You

You are on this process if you are asked to complete a Progress Review form online. You are on the new process if Multiverse has told you your reviews are changing to a live meeting.

For the new process, see 'Progress Reviews: The New Live Meeting Process'.

What a Progress Review Is

A Progress Review is a regular check-in on how your apprenticeship is going. It involves you, your Coach and your Apprentice Manager. A Progress Review happens at least every three months and is a required part of your apprenticeship.

How Your Progress Review Works

On this process, The Platform sets up your Progress Review as one of two types. The table below explains both.

Review type

What it means

Online review

You, your Coach and your Apprentice Manager each complete a form on The Platform. You complete your form independently, at a time that suits you

Live meeting

You, your Coach and your Apprentice Manager meet for a live conversation. Your Coach arranges this when it is the right approach for your review

The Platform decides which type applies, based on how your apprenticeship is progressing. Your Coach can also arrange a live meeting when it is the most useful option.

How to Complete Your Online Review

When your Progress Review is an online review, complete these steps.

  1. Look out for a notification from Multiverse telling you your Progress Review is due.

  2. Log in to The Platform and find the Progress Reviews section.

  3. Open your Progress Review and complete your form. You can save your answers and return to them before you finish.

  4. Submit your form when you are ready.

Your Coach and your Apprentice Manager complete their own forms separately. Your Progress Review is complete once everyone has submitted and you have acknowledged your Coach's summary.

How to Acknowledge Your Coach's Summary

After your Coach submits their part of the review, you confirm that you have read it. Return to the Progress Reviews section on The Platform, read your Coach's summary, and confirm to close the review. If you do not agree with something in the summary, your Coach can arrange a live conversation to talk it through.

What Happens in a Live Meeting

When your Progress Review is a live meeting, you, your Coach and your Apprentice Manager talk through your progress together. You discuss how you are progressing against your training plan, how you apply your learning at work, anything getting in the way, and the next steps you each take. Your Coach records the outcome after the meeting.

What Happens After Your Review

After your review, you can see the outcome on The Platform. Multiverse recommends saving your own copy of each Progress Review. This is useful if your employer needs it for internal performance reviews. Document retention is the responsibility of each apprentice while on the programme.
