Why is my module, task, or project status not updating, and does it affect my progress?

Understanding Module, Task, and Project Completion

Completion statuses for modules, tasks, and projects are crucial for tracking your progress. However, various factors can impact how these statuses are displayed. Below, we address common issues related to completion tracking and their effects on overall progress.

Common Reasons for Modules Showing as Incomplete

Activities Not Fully Completed

A module is marked complete only when all required activities within it are finished. While specific tasks, like surveys, may show as completed, the overall module status will remain as "incomplete" until every required activity has a green check mark. Ensure you’ve reviewed the module checklist and finished all pending activities.

Individual Chapters Not Completed

Sometimes a module may appear "in progress" even though all visible activities have green check marks. This can happen if not all the required chapters within the module are finished. For example, ensure all chapters in the sequence are completed to update the module status to "complete" on your dashboard.

Task-Specific Requirements

Some tasks require specific actions to mark them as complete. For instance, a task might require you to post at least one topic and comment on another user’s topic. If either action is missing, the task will not register as complete. Double-check the task requirements, complete them, and refresh the page to update the status.

Understanding Missing or Non-Assessed Projects

Some projects, like AIPP Project 3 in My Multiverse, are non-portfolio practice activities. These projects are not part of your formal assessment and will not appear in your learning record. They are designed purely for practice and do not affect overall progress or remaining modules.

Effects on Apprenticeship Progress and End-Point Assessment (EPA)

It’s important to note that module completion statuses are formative and do not impact your apprenticeship progress or your End-Point Assessment (EPA). Even if a module's completion cannot be restored, you will not need to redo it, and it will not affect your final grade. Your apprenticeship progress relies on your EPA result, independent of module statuses.

Troubleshooting Completion Issues

  1. Review Module Checklists: Ensure all activities and chapters are completed.

  2. Check Task Requirements: Verify any specific requirements, such as posting topics or adding comments.

  3. Refresh the Platform: After completing tasks, refresh the platform to update statuses.
