We understand that your line manager might change during your apprenticeship programme. If this happens, it's important to update their details on our systems so your new manager receives all relevant communications and can complete necessary actions as you progress.
How to Update Your Manager's Details
Changing your manager within our system is a straightforward process. If you need to update who your manager is, simply follow these four easy steps:
Navigate to My Account: First, log in to your account and locate the "My Account" section. This is typically found in the left navigation menu.
Toggle to Account Settings and click 'Change Apprentice Manager': Once in "My Account," look for "Account Settings". Under this toggle should be a link titled 'Change Apprentice Manager'.
Enter New Manager Email: After clicking the link to change your manager, you'll find a field specifically for your manager's email. Carefully enter the new manager's email address into this field.
Enter New Manager Name: Finally, in the designated field, enter the new manager's full name.
After completing these steps, be sure to save any changes to ensure your update is registered. Your manager information should now be successfully updated!
What if I'm still working with my old manager?
If your former manager will continue to supervise your work, they can remain your designated manager for your apprenticeship. This provides consistency for your programme.
While an apprentice needs an appointed manager, this individual doesn't have to be your official line manager. It could be a project supervisor or another mentor, as long as they hold a supervisory role within your company.
When making this decision, choose someone who can effectively assess your performance and help you set meaningful goals throughout your apprenticeship.
