Can I change my work-based project idea?
It is possible to change your Work-Based Project (WBP) idea after it has been initially signed off, but this is not a simple process and requires formal approval.
If you are considering a change to your WBP topic, you must get explicit consent from your End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). You should contact your EPAO directly as soon as you think a change might be necessary. In your request, you’ll need to clearly explain how your new project idea will still meet all the required grading criteria for your apprenticeship programme. If you’re unsure who your EPAO is, please contact the Multiverse support team. They can help you identify your EPAO and guide you on how to proceed with your change request.
Crucial Point: No Deadline Extensions for Project Changes. It's very important to understand that even if your EPAO approves a change to your project idea, you will not be granted any extension to your original submission deadline. You will still be required to complete and submit your (new) Work-Based Project by the date that was initially set.
Therefore, before deciding to change your project, carefully consider if you will have enough time to develop and complete the new project to the required standard within the remaining timeframe.
