Overview

End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the final stage of an apprenticeship in the UK. It is an impartial assessment of whether you have developed the skills, knowledge and behaviours outlined in the apprenticeship standard.


Booking

Your end point assessment will be booked with your End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) once you have gone through gateway and your gateway documents have been approved.

Based on the end point assessment organisation you are registered with, your EPA interview will be confirmed as below:

CMI - The Multiverse EPA team will confirm your preferred date is available and book this. CMI will then confirm the booking and send out invitations.

AP (Accelerate People) - EPA interview date is booked once you have gone through gateway and the gateway documents have been approved. AP will email the interview date directly to you based on the unavailability given on the gateway form. AP’s processing time is 10 working days from when we submit the gateway.

1st for EPA - EPA interviews are booked directly based on the unavailability given on the gateway form. Email confirmation of the date will be sent once you have gone through gateway and this has been processed. Processing times are currently 2 working days.

BCS - Interview is scheduled separately for AM1 and AM2. These are booked based on the availability given in the gateway form.

You should receive your EPA booking confirmation email from the EPAO once your gateway has been processed, this is usually up to 10 working days after your gateway. If you have not received your EPA interview confirmation from the EPAO. Please get in touch with the support team if you have not received confirmation.

What happens if I cannot attend my EPA interview?

There may be several reasons as to why you would be unable to attend your EPA interview and provided there is availability, we may be able to rearrange this for you.

Regardless of whether you are with Accelerate People, 1st for EPA, BCS or CMI, the procedure to notify us of your unavailability is the same.

Please follow the following steps:

  • Get in touch with the support team and detail in the body of the message the reason as to why you are unable to attend your EPA interview and the current date.

  • Please also detail any other dates you may be unavailable to attend.

Once we have received your request, we will notify the EPAO and inform them of your unavailability. They will confirm an alternative date with us and send you a follow up email with the updated interview details.

Can I have an earlier EPA date?

The general rule at present is that you can't get an earlier EPA date due to the assessors being fully booked. However, if you require an earlier date because you are leaving your employer, please contact the support team and we'll work with the EPAO to check if there have been any cancellations.

My employment contract is ending before my EPA interview, can this be rescheduled?

Please reach out to the support team so we can check with the EPAO if they have any availability for an earlier interview date before your contract end date.
