Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the most time-efficient preparation?

    • You can take the exams as soon as you feel confident.

    • We highly advise doing at least one practice paper for Reading, Writing, and Maths.

    • The self-assessment tools can help you to identify the areas where you should focus your attention.

  • What happens when an apprentice fails a Level 2 Functional Skills Exam?

    • A failed exam is not the end of the road! If an apprentice fails an exam, they will be given tutor support and actionable next steps in their results email to re-attempt the exam.

  • What if the apprentice does not qualify for the government levy?

    • We offer learning and exam support for apprentices not funded by the government levy using the already established tutors, resources, and processes. An employer may wish to commercially fund an apprentice if the individual is not eligible for levy funding, but the employer still wishes for the apprentice to complete the apprenticeship training and assessment.
