Just submitted your project? The "Awaiting Review" status is normal immediately after submission. No action is needed for the first 12 hours. Read the timing information below before contacting support.
Understanding the Submission Review Process
When the Apprentice submits a project on The Platform, it moves to "Awaiting Review" straight away. This is expected. The submission is temporarily locked to ensure the Coach or the automated system reviews a stable version of the work.
The time it takes to receive feedback depends on which review route applies:
Instant Feedback: Typically returned within five minutes. If it does not arrive within 12 hours, follow the steps in Scenario 1 below.
Standard Review: If the project does not enter the automated queue, a Coach reviews it manually. This takes up to 72 hours.
Formal Review: If the Apprentice disagrees with feedback, a formal review is initiated. This takes up to 20 working days.
When to Take Action
Do not contact support if the project has been in "Awaiting Review" for fewer than 12 hours. This is within the normal window for both Instant Feedback and standard review processing.
Take action only if the project has been in "Awaiting Review" for more than 12 hours with no feedback received. Follow the steps in Scenario 1 or Scenario 2 below, depending on what is visible on the project page.
Troubleshooting Projects Stuck in "Awaiting Review"
If a project has been in "Awaiting Review" for more than 12 hours, the Apprentice must take specific action based on what is visible on the project page.
Scenario 1: The "Edit Submission" Button is Visible
If the "Edit submission" button is active, the Apprentice can manually push the project into the Instant Feedback queue by following these steps:
Note: A high image count is a known cause of Instant Feedback failure. If the submission contains more than 40 images, the Apprentice must reduce the number to 40 or fewer before following the steps below.
Open the project submission on The Platform.
Select Edit submission.
Choose Withdraw and edit submission from the dialogue window.
Select Submit project immediately to re-trigger the Instant Feedback system.
Scenario 2: The Project Submission is Locked
If the "Edit submission" button is missing, the project is locked. This happens because a reviewer has opened the submission or the system has prioritised it for manual assessment.
Action required: The Apprentice must contact the Multiverse Support Team.
What support can do: Support can unlock the submission to allow edits and resubmission. Any grades visible during this process are procedural and should be disregarded until final feedback is issued.
Managing Feedback and Resubmissions
Once feedback is returned, the Apprentice must interact with the feedback to unlock further editing.
Reflecting on feedback:
The Apprentice must select "Reflect on feedback."Selecting Agree or Somewhat Agree unlocks the project for immediate editing and resubmission.
Selecting Disagree triggers the Formal Review Process. The project remains locked for up to 20 working days.
Post-deadline resubmissions:
There are no technical restrictions on The Platform preventing resubmission after a deadline has passed.
