Troubleshooting Project Submissions and Locked Reviews

Instructions for The Apprentice to manage project submissions on The Platform. Resolve 'Awaiting Review' delays, trigger Instant Feedback, and navigate review locks for seamless Applied Learning.

Understanding the Submission Review Process

When The Apprentice submits a project for Instant Feedback on The Platform, the submission is temporarily locked to maintain the integrity of the evaluation. This ensures The Coach or the automated system assesses a stable version of the work.

  • Instant Feedback Timing: Feedback is typically returned within five minutes.

  • Standard Review Timing: If a project does not enter the automated queue, the standard review process may take up to 72 hours.

  • Formal Review Timing: If The Apprentice disagrees with feedback, a formal review process is initiated, which can take up to 20 working days.

Troubleshooting Projects Stuck in "Awaiting Review"

If a project remains in the "Awaiting Review" status for longer than 12 hours, The Apprentice must take specific actions based on the available options on the project page.

Scenario 1: The "Edit Submission" Button is Visible

If the "Edit submission" button is active, The Apprentice can manually push the project into the Instant Feedback queue by following these steps:

  1. Open the project submission on The Platform.

  2. Select Edit submission.

  3. Choose Withdraw and edit submission from the dialogue window.

  4. Select Submit project immediately to re-trigger the Instant Feedback system.

Scenario 2: The Project Submission is Locked

If the "Edit submission" button is missing, the project is "Locked." This occurs because a reviewer has opened the submission or the system has prioritised it for a manual assessment.

  • Action Required: The Apprentice should contact the Multiverse Support team.

  • Support Intervention: Support can unlock the submission to allow for immediate edits and resubmission. Note that any grades visible during the support unlocking process are procedural and should be disregarded until the final feedback is issued.

Managing Feedback and Resubmissions

Once feedback is returned, The Apprentice must interact with the feedback to unlock further editing capabilities.

  • Reflecting on Feedback: The Apprentice must select "Reflect on feedback."

    • Selecting Agree or Somewhat Agree unlocks the project for immediate editing and resubmission.

    • Selecting Disagree triggers the Formal Review Process, and the project will remain locked for up to 20 working days.

  • Post-Deadline Resubmissions: There are no technical restrictions on The Platform preventing The Apprentice from resubmitting work after a deadline has passed.
