If your project has been in the 'Awaiting review' status for longer than expected, it may need a manual action to get it into the Instant Feedback system. Your next step depends on what you see on your project page.
This situation arises due to restrictions placed on editing while a project is in the 'Awaiting Review' status, ensuring consistency during the evaluation process.
Situation 1: You can see the "Edit submission" button
If the "Edit submission" button is visible, you can easily resolve this yourself:
Open the project submission.
Click "Edit submission".
In the window that appears, select "Withdraw and edit submission".
You can now simply click "Submit project" again.
This action will push your project into the Instant Feedback queue, and you should receive your feedback within about five minutes.
While Instant Feedback typically provides responses within five minutes, you should expect feedback within 72 hours under the standard review process.
Situation 2: The project submission is "locked", and you cannot edit it
If you cannot see an "Edit submission" button, it means the project has been opened by a marker or the system and is locked.
This happens because the reviewing coach has started marking or assessing your submission, and further changes are locked to ensure the integrity of the review process.
In this case, you need to contact our support team. Let them know that your project is stuck in 'Awaiting review' and you cannot edit it. They will be able to unlock it for you so you can resubmit it for Instant Feedback.
