The role of Launch Coaches, Cohort Coaches and Success Coaches and Instructors

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Welcome to Multiverse! Once you officially enrol in your apprenticeship on your Flying Start day, you'll be supported by a dedicated team of coaches who are here to help you succeed. They will guide you, challenge you, and celebrate your wins along the way. Here's a breakdown of the coaches you'll work with and how they'll support you.

πŸš€ The Launch Coach: Your First Guide

Think of your Launch Coach as your personal navigator for the first couple of months. A Launch Coach will be assigned to you on your Flying Start date. Their job is to help you get off to a strong start and make sure your apprenticeship is aligned with your personal career goals.

What Launch Coaches do:

  • Kick-off your journey: They'll run your initial launch meetings and group coaching sessions to introduce you to the programme and your peers.

  • Set the stage for success: They'll help you set career impact goals from day one and ensure your apprenticeship aligns with your professional aspirations.

  • Ensure a smooth handover: Once you're settled, they'll ensure a seamless transition to your Cohort Coach.

When you'll work with your Launch Coach: You'll work with your Launch Coach for the first 0-60 days of your apprenticeship.

πŸ“ˆ The Cohort Coach: Your Ongoing Partner

Your Cohort Coach will be your main guide and advocate throughout most of your apprenticeship. They're focused on your ongoing development and helping you create real, lasting impact in your workplace.

What Cohort Coaches do:

  • Provide consistent support: You'll have regular one-to-one or group coaching sessions to get the guidance and support you need.

  • Manage your progress: They'll conduct progress reviews with you and your manager, helping you manage transitions between different phases of the programme.

  • Build your portfolio: They'll help you develop a strong portfolio that showcases your skills and achievements.

  • Maximise your growth: Your Cohort Coach will help you identify opportunities to grow your career and translate your new skills into real-world achievements.

When you'll work with your Cohort Coach: You'll work with your Cohort Coach for the majority of your apprenticeship, after the initial launch phase.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» The Instructor: Your Technical Expert

When you need to dive deep into the technical side of your role, your Instructor is the person you'll turn to. They are experts in their field and are here to build your technical skills and industry knowledge.

What Instructors do:

  • Deliver hands-on workshops: They deliver engaging, hands-on workshops to teach you the skills you need.

  • Connect learning to the real world: Your Instructor will help you connect your technical learning to real-world industry applications, ensuring you're developing in-demand skills that drive impact in your role and boost your career value.

When you'll work with Instructors: You'll engage with your Instructor during workshops and whenever you need specialised technical guidance.

βœ… The Success Coach: Your EPA Expert

As you near the end of your apprenticeship, your Success Coach will be there to support you through the End-Point Assessment (EPA) period. They are experts in this final stage and will help you prepare with confidence.

What Success Coaches do:

  • Boost your confidence: They provide motivation and tailored guidance to help you stay focused and positive.

  • Provide resources: You'll have access to a wealth of resources to review and refresh your knowledge of previously covered material.

  • Manage your journey: They are your main point of contact, handling all communication during this period. You can book brief one-to-one check-ins to discuss revision strategies or ask questions.

  • Support if needed: If you are unsuccessful in an assessment, your Success Coach will work directly with you to outline the next steps and arrange resits.

When you'll work with your Success Coach: You'll work with your Success Coach during the EPA period (after you pass the Gateway but before you complete your apprenticeship).

How can I contact my coach?

  • You can send your coach a message using the chat feature within your learning platform.

  • If you have a question about anything related to your experience, you can also ask Atlas, your AI-powered guide. Atlas can answer most questions instantly and is a great first stop. If it can't help, it'll give you the option to escalate your message to your Coach or the Multiverse Support Team.
