How Instant Feedback works
Powered by our internally developed AI and rigorously tested for accuracy and consistency, Instant Feedback seamlessly integrates with Atlas, apprentices' always-available AI Coach.
Apprentices will receive feedback within 5 minutes of submitting a project. Once they reflect on their feedback and make improvements, they can resubmit for re-review as many times as they like.

Our AI coach, Atlas, has been meticulously trained on our own expert-verified curriculum. After six months of rigorous testing, we've validated that its accuracy is on par with our human markers. We also have a human oversight layer; if a learner questions any feedback, our experts review it. This ensures constant improvement and aligns with the latest Department for Education guidance on using reliable, checked AI tools.
What is the approach to ensuring feedback is consistent for all learners?
Consistency is a key advantage of this feature. Unlike the natural variations between human markers, our AI is trained on a single, predefined rubric. This ensures that all learners receive feedback that is remarkably consistent and fair, providing a uniform standard of guidance that was challenging to achieve with human marking alone.
How is learner data kept private and secure with the Instant Feedback feature?
Learner data privacy is paramount, and our system is fully UK GDPR compliant. We use Microsoft's Azure Proxy Layer, a secure gateway that ensures your data is processed with enterprise-grade security and is never used to train external AI models. All data is securely hosted in the EU and the US, processed only by Azure, guaranteeing its protection and security.
What is the AI's role in assessment and final grading?
The AI provides formative feedback on projects during the apprenticeship to help learners develop their skills. The final End-Point Assessment (EPA) grade is still determined by an impartial human assessor. Our coaches continue to provide full support to prepare apprentices for this final assessment, ensuring a fair and independent evaluation.
