How to find and complete the Onboarding Modules, the enrolment deadlines if an Apprentice misses Flying Start, and whether the modules count towards Off-the-Job (OTJ) hours.

What the Onboarding Modules Are

The Onboarding Modules are the primary requirement for an Apprentice to confirm their place on a Multiverse programme. The modules are assigned once a programme place is approved. The Apprentice must complete them before the Flying Start kick-off session.

  • Location: The modules appear in the Task List on The Platform homepage (home.multiverse.io).

  • Timeline: The modules are available at least 48 hours before the Flying Start session. The Apprentice receives an email when the modules are ready.

  • Purpose: Completing the modules triggers the Apprentice's enrolment and provides essential knowledge for Applied Learning.

How to Complete Async Onboarding Ahead of Flying Start

  1. Log in: Log in to The Platform using the credentials created during application.

  2. Locate the Task List: Navigate to the homepage and find the Task List section.

  3. Identify the right module: Locate Onboarding Part 1: Getting Started. This module gives the Apprentice a general introduction to Multiverse and the information needed ahead of Flying Start.

  4. Confirm completion: Click the completion button on the final page of the module. This records the enrolment data.

Enrolment Deadlines if the Apprentice Misses Flying Start

Attendance at the live Flying Start session is expected. If the Apprentice cannot attend the live session, the following deadlines apply:

  • Enrolment deadline: The Apprentice must complete both modules within one week of the scheduled Flying Start session, or by the end of the current calendar month, whichever is earlier.

  • Recordings on the Hello App: Navigate to the "Live Sessions" page, select the "Past" tab, and click "View Recording".

  • Recordings on Microsoft Teams: The session facilitator shares the recording through Teams or by email.

What Happens After Onboarding

Once the Flying Start date passes and the modules are complete, the Coach contacts the Apprentice with further instructions. The Apprentice must continue to monitor The Platform for additional onboarding tasks.

Do Onboarding Modules Count Towards OTJ Hours?

Whether the Onboarding Modules count towards Off-the-Job (OTJ) training depends on when the Apprentice completes them.

  • Modules completed before the scheduled Flying Start date do not count as OTJ training.

  • Modules completed on or after the scheduled Flying Start date do count as OTJ training.

If the Apprentice misses the scheduled Flying Start session and completes the modules afterwards, that first learning date becomes the apprenticeship start date.
