How to resolve camera/microphone issues during video conferencing checks or live sessions

Overview

If your camera or microphone isn't working as it should, don't worry! It may be due to blocked permissions, an outdated browser, or a build-up of cache and cookies. Follow this guide to get everything back on track.

First things first, make sure you’re not violating any of your organization's IT or Privacy policies before diving into any changes.


Step 1: Check Your Permissions

Experiencing a blocked camera and microphone? If you encountered an error during the video connectivity test, like the one shown below, you might need to adjust your settings.

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Look for the camera and microphone icons in your browser’s address bar.

  2. Click on each icon to change the settings from "block" to "allow."

  3. Click ‘try again’ in the video connectivity test to re-test.
