Retrieving Lost Maths and English Evidence

How to find lost evidence of maths and English qualifications to meet the Functional Skills requirement of apprenticeships in the UK

Updated this week

Overview

Providing proof of a Level 2 qualification in maths and English is crucial to meet apprenticeship requirements in the UK. If you’ve lost your exam certificates, don’t worry— follow these steps to get replacement evidence.

What does the process involve?

Due to GDPR, you’ll need to do a bit of detective work yourself to retrieve your exam information. The key step is knowing your exam board. If you sat O levels, CSEs, GCSEs, or A levels, you won’t get a replacement certificate but will receive a certified statement of results, which works just as well.

Please note: You may need to show proof of identity and pay a fee to exam boards for this service.
