Troubleshooting steps for perceived bugs with Multiverse Platforms

Updated over a week ago

Overview

This article is aimed at users encountering issues with the Multiverse platforms, particularly when pages are not loading or performing as expected. To ensure strict security requirements are met, Multiverse platforms may not perform optimally with old browsers or unapproved browser extensions. This can sometimes result in pages not loading properly or other performance issues. Please read below for troubleshooting steps that may help.

Troubleshooting Platform Issues

When you notice unusual behavior or issues with page loading on Multiverse platforms, it could be due to various factors including browser compatibility, browser extensions, or network restrictions. I've included below detailed steps to help you systematically resolve these issues.

Check Browser Compatibility

Ensure your web browser is up-to-date and compatible with Multiverse platforms. Here are the minimum browser requirements:

  1. Safari : Versions older than 7

  2. Firefox : Versions older than 23

  3. Opera : Versions older than 15

  4. Internet Explorer :All versions

  5. Safari on iOS : Versions older than 7

  6. Opera Mini : All versions

  7. Opera Mobile : All versions except version 80

  8. Android Browser : Versions older than 4.4

If your browser is outdated, please update it to the latest version available.

Refresh Your Browser

If you are using a compatible browser, try the following steps to refresh it:

  1. Log off from the Multiverse platform.

  2. Clear your browser's cache. You can find instructions specific to your browser through a simple Google search.

  3. Log back into the platform.

This can resolve issues related to cache data affecting platform performance.

Check Browser Extensions

Examine any browser extensions you have installed that may interfere with the normal operation of the Multiverse platforms:

  • A simple internet search will explain how to view browser extensions for your specific browser.

  • Remove or disable any extensions that are not approved by your IT department.

Check Firewalls and Network Settings

Confirm that your network settings or firewalls, managed by your IT department, are not blocking access to the Multiverse platform:

  • Check with your IT department to ensure Multiverse URLs are allowlisted.

  • If unsure, our Support Team can provide you with a tool to check for network blocks affecting the Multiverse platform.
