Updated over a week ago

Overview

Multiverse’s partnership with Northeastern University offers an exclusive pathway for Advanced Analytics apprentices to continue their education and earn a Bachelor of Science in Analytics. This article is designed to provide detailed information for apprentices who are considering furthering their education through this unique degree pathway, focusing on eligibility, benefits, costs, and the application process.

Degree Pathway Partnership Details

What is the Degree Pathway Partnership with Northeastern University?

The Degree Pathway Partnership between Multiverse and Northeastern University allows apprentices who complete the Multiverse Advanced Analytics program to matriculate at the Northeastern University College of Professional Studies. Here, they can pursue a Bachelor of Science in Analytics while remaining employed full-time. Credits earned during the apprenticeship count towards the degree, offering apprentices a significant head start.

  • Credits Earned: Apprentices are awarded 12 credits across four core courses.

  • Continued Education: Post-matriculation, apprentices can leverage these credits to continue their studies towards a Bachelor's degree.

Why Partner with Northeastern University?

Northeastern University is renowned for integrating professional experience with academic learning through their cooperative education programs. This partnership aligns with Multiverse's vision of learning integrated with professional development, making Northeastern an ideal academic ally.

Program Benefits and Requirements

Do I Need a College Degree to Join Multiverse Programs?

No college degree is required to join any Multiverse apprenticeship program. The partnership simply provides an opportunity for further education post-apprenticeship for those who choose to pursue it.

What Kind of Degree Will I Receive?

Participants in this program will earn a Bachelor of Science in Analytics from Northeastern University. The program is delivered entirely online, providing flexibility to accommodate full-time employment.

What Are the Costs Involved?

The partnership is designed to minimize financial burden on the apprentice:

  • During Apprenticeship: There is no cost; apprentices earn 12 credits towards their degree.

  • Post-Matriculation: Normal tuition rates apply, but many apprentices may benefit from employer tuition reimbursement programs. The current rate is $541 per credit.

Employer Tuition Reimbursement and Financial Aid

Most Multiverse clients offer tuition benefits, commonly up to $5,250 per year, which can significantly offset education costs.

How long does it take to earn the degree?

The duration depends on prior credits and the course load an apprentice chooses to take. With full-time study, the degree can be completed in as little as 16 months, while part-time study might take longer.

Case study 1

  • With previous college coursework and the 12 recognized credits for their Multiverse apprenticeship, some individuals might have up to 60 credits recognized by Northeastern. In this case, an individual needs to earn an additional 60 credits for a Bachelor's degree.

  • An individual beginning at Northeastern with 60 credits who takes courses full time year round (15 credits per semester including summer) could finish their Bachelor’s degree in as quick as 16 months.

Case study 2

  • With no previous college credit, some individuals will be starting at Northeastern with the 12 credits recognized from their Multiverse apprenticeship. In this case, an individual needs to earn an additional 108 credits for a Bachelor’s degree.

  • An individual beginning at Northeastern with 12 credits who takes 8 credits per semester year round could take upwards of 5 years to complete their degree.
