Business Transformation Fellowship Programme Overview

This programme helps teams understand and embed the core concepts of digital solution and process design, business transformation, and embedding change. It is part of our Transformation Academy Programmes.

Business Transformation Fellowship Indicative Curriculum Breakdown

Translating business needs into solution design

  • Module 1: Introduction to delivering change initiatives in a digital world

    • Utilise lifecycle understanding to drive organisational change

    • Leverage business analysis to align with business objectives

    • Evaluate opportunities for change in the digital landscape

  • Module 2: Identifying and defining high impact opportunities for change

    • Investigate business situations, analyse internal and external environments for strategic insights, and apply techniques for process improvement through modelling and analysis.

  • Module 3: Using business needs to drive a successful transformation

    • Investigate business situations, analyse internal and external environments for strategic insights, and apply techniques for process improvement through modelling and analysis.

    • Identify business pains, collect stakeholder input, develop user stories for digital solutions, and use an iterative approach to prioritise and validate business and stakeholder needs.

  • Module 4: Developing recommendations to support business change

    • Communicate future process requirements, analyse process gaps, propose changes, and measure impact using frameworks.

  • Module 5: Using data to strategically drive change

    • Analyse data for change, identify required data for business needs, and use agile data modelling for accurate technical solutions.

Project planning and management

Business Transformation Fellowship Indicative Delivery Model

Monthly delivery model, approx. 25 hours per month total commitment. The exact time commitment will be outlined in the training plan that apprentices will receive at the start of their apprenticeship.

  • Structured Learning (~30% - 7.5 hours/month):

    • Asynchronous learning (3 hours): Online, self-paced content that sets the foundation of skills for the module.

    • Group learning (3 hours): Live, instructor-led, small-group interactive learning that dives deeper and reinforces the asynchronous content.

    • Coach and peer support (1.5 hours): Includes tutoring, progress reviews, & other individual/group/peer support.

  • Working in Existing Role (~70% - 17.5 hours/month):

    • Work-based tasks (3.5 hours): Structured tasks to provide the opportunity to apply learnings in real work context.

    • Independent applied learning (14 hours): Application of learning to apprentices’ existing day-to-day activities.
