Updated over a month ago

Overview

A Skills Diagnosis helps you pinpoint the key skills required to reach your team's goals and is the first step of the process towards creating personalized learning plans for your team.

Who Should Complete the Skills Diagnosis?

The Skills Diagnosis should ideally be completed by individuals in Head of Department roles or equivalent positions. However, if you do not feel confident in assessing the team's challenges, feel free to nominate someone with better insights into the team's needs.

How Does the Skills Diagnosis Link to Team Learning?

The process of Skills Diagnosis involves several steps designed to align with your team's learning goals:

  1. Initial Assessment: The Skills Diagnosis will ask questions about your team's goals and the critical skill gaps you aim to address.

  2. Competency Mapping: Our diagnostic model will identify the key competencies needed in your team, forming the foundational building blocks for learning at Multiverse.

  3. Generation of Personalized Learning Pathways: You can then invite your team to join your learning goals, having them complete the Multiverse Skills Scan to generate personalized learning pathways.

How Should I Prepare for My Skills Diagnosis?

Preparation is crucial for an effective Skills Diagnosis. Here are some steps to guide you:

  • Review Relevant Documents: Go through OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), quarterly plans, and any other planning documents that pertain to your team's goals.

  • Consult Stakeholders: Discuss with your peers, manager, and team members to gather their perspectives on the most pressing needs.

  • Identify Relevant Team Members: Consider which team members would benefit the most from upskilling in the identified areas.
